Halmstad, the city with three hearts as its symbol, has been our home since the beginning. Here, we design and manufacture high-quality jewellery with love and care for sensitive skin. Jewellery that is the natural choice for children getting their first ear piercings, and for anyone with a nickel allergy – or those who want to avoid getting one. Each piece of jewellery is crafted in Sweden with precision, care, and great responsibility!

Why did Blomdahl start?

Blomdahl was founded in the 1980s, a time when ear piercing posed significant risks. AIDS and nickel allergy were two serious medical issues that many didn't consider. Exposing your skin and health to risks just to look good was not acceptable. Father and son Blomdahl saw a need for change – they wanted to offer a better alternative for both children and adults. In 1985, they founded Blomdahl in Halmstad with a clear vision: to create safe and reliable products for ear piercing. The result? Blomdahl became the first in the world to introduce medical ear piercing. The method uses sterile single-use products and skin friendly earrings, which protect against nickel allergy and promote healing.
